Parkland Communities names dynamic duo Nick Patti & Ian Young as new directors

Parkland Communities Inc. is a premier Atlanta real estate investment and development firm. In an effort to increase its capabilities, the company has appointed two industry veterans as directors. Nick Patti will be Director of Operations, and Ian Young, Director of Development. Parkland Communities is planning to break ground this year on more than 1,000 lots.

Ian Young has over 27 years experience in land development. He is originally from Scotland and has a degree in Civil Engineering. He has worked in civil projects both in the UK, as well as the United States. Since moving to the U.S., in 1996, Young has worked in various capacities in the residential building industry. He has worked with both public and private builders. He was most recently the Regional Director of Development for Forestar, one of the largest developers in the U.S. He has a degree in civil engineering and has developed thousands of lots throughout his career. Young is excited to join Parkland, and expand the land development business of the company across Atlanta and Georgia.

Nick Patti brings to Parkland Communities his 18 years of management experience as the former Director of Purchasing and Estimating for Smith Douglas Homes. Patti brings to Parkland his extensive experience in the construction industry, including residential, commercial and industrial projects, as well as heavy civil/marine. He is eager for his vast knowledge to be put to use in order to establish Parkland Homes, Parkland Residential, and Parkland Residential, as leading Georgia homebuilders delivering high-quality, affordable homes to the residential marketplace.

Parkland Communities’ President Jim Jacobi expressed his confidence and excitement in the new appointments.
